Agatha Christie 'Murder is Easy'

I read this book because of my book report task (again). Well, I enjoy it. For your information, I love a fantasy story. This book is about mystery and when I read the title I just not interested. But after I read it, I like mystery I guess. ( Please don’t think that I am a labile person). 

This book is very interesting. Although Agatha Christie is a famous mystery author, but the one and the only one of her book that I have ever read is this book. Once more, I was not interested in mystery story so I do not ever think to try to read Agatha Christie’s books. Now I know that she is a genius author.

This book tells about a murder case in England. There were a policeman (Luke Fitzwilliam) who met a woman (Lavinia Pinkerton), one day, and the woman told him that there has been a murder in her town.  Several days later, he read a newspaper and learned that the woman whom he met yesterday had passed away because an accident nears her destination. Then, the police try to solve the case until the murderer was found. This book also has romantic atmosphere between Luke Fitzwilliam and Bridget Conway. 

Some interesting point of this book is:
1. The policeman had high integrity. Although he just knew the woman in that time, but he wanted to help her to solve the case.
2. The murderer was unpredictable. This makes me like this book.
3. The moral value of this book is very interesting, that nothing impossible in murder. Everyone can be a murderer even a child in kinder garden.

So, I just want to say Beware! Murder is easy!

Antoine de Saint-Exupery " the Little Prince"

        I read this book because of my book report task but finally I fall in love with this book. Honestly, in my opinion, the story of this book is flat like fairy tale in general (because I don't really like fairy tale). But, what makes me fall in love with this book is because there are so many quotes that make me think that I do not give a meaning for my life. The story tells about a life in an innocent man sight. There are many little things that we do not know if they are important in life.  This story tells us that sometime we have to think like a child to know the meaning of our life.This is some example of the quotes: 

It is much harder to judge yourself than to judge to others. If you succeed in judging to yourself, it’s because you are truly a wise man.

“But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart.”

“It’s good to have had a friend, even if you’re going to die. Myself, I’m very glad to have had a fox for a friend.”

         The more that makes me love this book is because the main character (the Little Prince) had a rose in his planet and he very loved his rose. For your information, I am a rose-lover. And I was very interested in one part of the book.

But my rose, all on her own, is more important than all of you together, since she’s the one I’ve watered. Since she’s the one I put under glass. Since she’s the one I sheltered behind a screen. Since the one for whom I killed the caterpillars (except the two or three for butterflies). Since she’s the one I listened to when she complained, or when she boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing at all. Since she’s my rose.

That has knifed me exactly on my heart. LOL

           Well, the original name of this book is Le Petit Prince. Actually, I have seen this book in a bookstore with that title but I did not buy it because the book is very thin (for a novel) but it is very expensive. But now, I know why it is very expensive. The wonderful book ^^

Darwis Tere-Liye "Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu"

Bagi orang-orang yang sudah pernah membaca buku ini seharusnya dia bisa menjadi bersyukur dan tidak banyak mengeluh. Sungguh, buku ini benar-benar nohok banget deh.

Tokoh Rehan atau Ray dalam cerita dari kecil sampai ia tua dan jatuh sakit selalu mendapatkan hal-hal yang menurutnya tidak adil baginya. ia merasakan berbagai macam sakit hati, mulai dari selalu dihukum oleh penjaga panti saat ia tinggal di panti asuhan, dikeroyok sekelompok preman di terminal karena ia selalu menang judi, membuat 2 teman Rumah Singgahnya menjadi korban karena ia punya masalah dengan sekelompok preman, Istrinya meninggal saat ia sedang hamil dan umur pernikahan mereka baru berumur 6 tahun, bisnisnya kacau balau karena dia salah prediksi, dan akhirnya dia jatuh sakit yang amat arah sehingga ia diantara hidup dan mati.

Tetapi di saat dia masih koma, dia diberi kesempatan oleh seseorang (mungkin malaikat) untuk mengetahui kenapa semua itu terjadi padanya. Orang itu menjelaskan betapa Tuhan itu Maha Adil dan tidak semua rang mendapat kesempatan seperti itu. Mengapa Rehan atau Ray mendapat kesempatan itu? karena Dia senang memandang bulan. Dan disaat ia memandang bulan, dia masih bersyukur dan mengagumi ciptaan Tuhan. Dia bisa melupakan segala yang terjadi padanya dengan melihat bulan.

kutipan yang menurut saya sangat menarik adalah bahwa Apa yang kita lakukan merupakan sebab mengapa sesuatu terjadi pada orang lain. Begitu pula sebaliknya karena di dunia ini ada hukum sebab-akibat. Ada pula kutipan seperti ini Memberi banyak berharap sedikit.

Kutipan-kutipan sederhana tersebut bagi saya sungguh menyentuh dan membuat kita berpikir dua kali untuk mengeluhkan kehidupan ini. Kita juga diajak untuk lebih rendah hati dan berusaha memberi yang terbaik demi kehidupan kita walau terkadang kenyataan yang harus kita hadapi itu menyakitkan.
